Few Days in Praha

The last few weeks in Prague have been marked by one farewell after another, as expats pack up and head back for the summer or for good. My numbers almost up, too, but it seems more a lottery ticket, because once I leave I go on a 'well-deserved' vacation. (Although along with that excitement, there's the sadness which goes along with leaving a place which has become home and people who have become close friend). Yet to say I've been hard at work, which to an extent I have been, would leave out the trips to medieval towns (two), the birthday parties, the frequents to my roommate's bar, the going away parties, the time spent with my parents and my aunt and uncle whom I was lucky enough to have visit me in Prague and whom I was glad to guide around, the film club screenings and galleries visited (Keith Herring exhibition), and all the blog-worthy going-ons that I've failed to post. Sorry. The next month promises multitudes of posts from all Europe.

This is the main gate through which you enter the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov. Our group stayed in the top level, and I looked out the two top windows every morning. It's hardly furbished, roughewn beams in the ceilings, wood planks for the floor.

We walked through the castle up to the Royal gardens and took this beautiful vista of the tower and the city.

Yohana left two weeks ago and we miss her dearly. (Right to Left. Nicola, Denis, Adriana, me, and Rebecca).
